CTA 2012

With over seventeen years of lecturing experience and an increasing trend in student numbers, Graduate Achievers has developed a reputation of providing a CTA support program that is of the highest level of academic excellence.

In each of the last 10 years students attending our part time CTA program were placed amongst UNISA’s top 10 CTA students.
In 2007 3 out of the top 7 CTA students attended our Part Time CTA program.
In 2010 8 out of the top 25 CTA students attended our Part Time CTA program.
In 2010 88 successful UNISA CTA students attended our Part Time CTA program.

Our approach is unique and structured and includes:

Concise, easy to understand summarised notes on important aspects of the syllabus to supplement prescribed material.

A carefully structured question bank which includes basic questions aimed at refreshing a students previous knowledge of the relevant topic and integrated CTA standard questions including previous UNISA and various other universities CTA and SAICA exam questions updated to current legislation.

Superb lecturing which is the corner stone to our success and excellent reputation. Each lecture commences with a highlight of important theoretical aspects of a particular section of the syllabus and follows through with a detailed discussion of fully worked examples.

A weekly study program which guides students on how to optimally use a minimum of 20 hours of study time.

Twenty weekly tests based on the previous weeks work to be written in class and marked by our marking team with subsequent review and feedback of marked scripts the following week. (Students attending Option 1 will attempt the tests in class. Students attending Option 2, 3 & 4 will attempt the tests at home.)

Continuous guidance on exam technique, strategy and approach and strong on-going motivation to encourage the student to work hard and smart to achieve success. Eight Simulated Exams to help students prepare for the four UNISA Saturday Tests and the UNISA final exams in September / October.

After 17 years of providing a successful CTA program we understand the increasingly demanding requirements of distance learning and our CTA program is carefully structured and geared for success.

Before committing to any of our courses, we urge students to carefully consider the serious commitment required for success at Postgraduate Level and to only book a seat if they are committed to diligently following our program. i.e. Attend every lecture, follow the weekly study program (20 hours a week) and attempt every class test. This was the winning approach of a vast majority of our successful students.

In response to UNISA’s newly structured CTA program, we will provide 4 CTA programs to service the different needs of students:

1. OPTION 1 – CTA LEVEL 2 (SATURDAY'S)

Our CTA LEVEL 2 program incorporates a lecture that covers the study week material in extensive detail, a tutorial illustrating difficult concepts in a simple and structured manner and a formal weekly test (on the previous weeks lecture topics) to be marked by our marking team. Due to increased volumes of work to be covered for Saturday Test 1 and 2, four additional lectures have been scheduled for Saturday Test 1 and one additional lecture for Saturday Test 2.

COST: R12400 (4 installments of R3100 each) (DISCOUNTED FEE FOR UPFRONT PAYMENT: R11400)

2. OPTION 2 – CTA LEVEL 2 (TUESDAY)

Option 2 is a one night a week program specifically tailored for the needs of repeat candidates who have already been exposed to many hours of lectures in the previous academic year. This program includes a lecture on the important areas of the syllabus and a tutorial illustrating difficult concepts in a simple and structured manner. Candidates will also be required to attempt the weekly tests at home for self – evaluation. Due to increased volumes of work to be covered for Saturday Test 1 and 2, four additional lectures have been scheduled for Saturday Test 1 and one additional lecture for Saturday Test 2. The course material for Option 1,2 & 4 is exactly the same.

COST: R8400 (4 installments of R2100 each) (DISCOUNTED FEE FOR UPFRONT PAYMENT: R7400)

3. OPTION 3  - CTA LEVEL 1 (WEDNESDAY)

Option 3 caters for students registered for CTA level 1. Due to the decreased volume of work to be covered in the syllabus, we will offer a one night a week program which will incorporate a lecture which covers the weeks work in extensive detail and a tutorial illustrating difficult concepts in a simple and structured manner. Candidates will also be required to attempt the weekly tests at home for self–evaluation.

CTA Level 1 students may attend Option 1 if Saturday lectures are more convenient as the only difference is that certain course material may be covered in advance and some of the work covered will not be part of the Level 1 syllabus.

COST: R8500 (4 installments of R2125 each) (DISCOUNTED FEE FOR UPFRONT PAYMENT: R7500)
